Coriander (धनिया) (seeds and leaves) is an important spice of Indian culinary since ages and also used for therapeutic purposes as well. It is also famous by the name Cilantro Seeds. Its Sanskrit Synonym is “Vitunnaka” means “helps to relieve agony ,Pain” .In Ayurveda Dhanyank is Mutral (Diuretic), Jwaraghna (Anti -Pyretic),Deepana (improves digestion ), Rochana ( improves taste ) ,Grahi (useful in mal- absorption ) & Hridya (Good for heart).

Coriander water is a natural concoction that helps in detoxifying kidneys and relieving various kidney-related problems. Coriander leaves contain Phytonutrients and anti-oxidants in very high amount which is very useful in eliminating mercury- a harmful substance that causes kidney damage. It has antiseptic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Preparation Process:

  1. Cut it into small pieces and put it in a pot.

  2. Pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down.

  3. Filter and pour the water into a clean bottle.

  4. Add a piece of lemon and drink it once a day and enjoy its magical effects.

Even though coriander is a valuable herb for a lot of people kidney failure patients may need to avoid its consumption as it has high potassium content. The reduced kidney function in kidney failure patients leads to disordered electrolyte levels including high potassium levels. The damaged kidneys lead to high potassium levels in the blood that may lead to the problem Hyperaemia that may risk the heartbeats of an individual.
